SlipScream – original charcoal cricket drawing

My first drawing of cricket slips, it captures perfectly the moment when the slips leap up in unison, almost like a synchronized dance.  We do not know what is happening at the crease, the piece of action that has elicited the slips reaction is hidden from view.  We also do not know if their appeal was successful as this is a suspended moment in a cricket match.  Like any sport, such a series of moments make the whole match so exciting.  It is drawn in charcoal on pearl grey Canson Mi Teintes paper.  The original and limited edition prints are available, click on the image to follow the link or click How to Buy
